Da Nang, Hoi An and Hue: a flexible four-day itinerary
A sample route for Central Vietnam with realistic time for transfers. It is not a packaged tour or guaranteed schedule.

Days 1–2: Da Nang and Hoi An
Day 1: settle into Da Nang, take a Han River walk and visit My Khe if conditions permit. Day 2: travel to Hoi An for its historic streets and waterfront. Entry to certain heritage buildings uses local ticket arrangements; check the current rules before your visit. Arrange the return journey in advance.
Day 3: choose one excursion
Choose the Marble Mountains for caves and temples with steps and uneven ground, or Ba Na Hills for its mountain attraction complex and Golden Bridge. These are different experiences: check accessibility, transport, weather and exactly what your ticket includes. Do not assume both fit comfortably into one day.
Day 4: Hue or a slower day
Hue’s monuments deserve time, and the journey from Da Nang adds a substantial transfer. Consider an overnight stay if you want to see the Imperial City and royal tombs without rushing. Otherwise keep the day for Da Nang. For a guided tour, confirm pickup area, guide language, inclusions and cancellation policy.
